Strengthening Malaysia Türkiye Industrial Collaboration
Bahru Stainless is honored to formalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Paslanmaz Sanayici ve İş İnsanları Derneği (PASID), the Stainless Industrialist and Business People Association of Türkiye, marking an important step in strengthening bilateral industrial cooperation between Malaysia and Türkiye.
The MoU exchange took place in Istanbul on 8 January 2026, held on the sidelines of the Roundtable Meeting with the Captains of Industry in the Republic of Türkiye, organized in conjunction with the official working visit of YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia.
The ceremony was witnessed by:
- YB Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), Malaysia
- Mr Ali Güney, Chief Executive Officer of Turkish Exim Bank
- Datuk Bayu Indrani, President & Chief Executive Officer of EXIM Bank Malaysia
Their presence underscores strong institutional and financial support from both countries in advancing cross-border trade, investment facilitation, and industrial collaboration.
The MoU was exchanged between Mr Arslan Küçükemre, President of PASID, and Mr Danny Tan, Chief Executive Officer of Bahru Stainless.
This strategic collaboration underscores Bahru Stainless’ commitment to:
- Strengthening industrial and business linkages between Malaysia and Türkiye
- Expanding collaboration opportunities across the stainless steel value chain
- Enhancing knowledge exchange, market access, and sustainable long-term growth
Most importantly, both parties have reached a consensus and understanding that Bahru Stainless will supply at least 120,000 MT of stainless steel materials to the Turkish market, with the full support and help from PASID.
